Google released today, May 12, its first ever app for the brand-new Apple Watch, bringing you the latest local news, headline stories and weather information on your wrist.
The application is called Google News & Weather, and it was previously available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. It aims to offer a personalized and comprehensive view of local weather and news, as well as top headline stories from over 65,000 publications.
With a simple swipe, Apple Watch users will be able to access news categories like Top Stories, Technology, as well as Sports & Weather. The app supports multiple layouts from 60 country-specific editions.
It also supports personalized news sections like 'NASA,' 'Fashion,' or 'Hollywood.' The app will allow users to tap news stories in order to view a wide variety of viewpoints, including local perspectives, in-depth articles, and Opinion.
The Google News & Weather app for Apple Watch is available today and can be installed from the App Store on iTunes. It requires an iPhone 5, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus devices with iOS 7.0 or later, but it's also compatible with iPad, and iPod touch.
