Google Fiber, the entertainment app from the Mountain View search giant which pretty much defines the Internet as we know it, has received an important update on iOS platforms.

“Control your entire Google Fiber TV experience with the touch of your fingers. Find and discover TV shows and movies that are airing live, recorded on your DVR, and available on-demand,” says Google.

The search giant also lets users browse, buy, and watch on-demand content on their iOS device, as long as the software finds a Google Fiber TV subscription present on the iDevice.

Google Fiber 2.0.2 is the latest version of the application and it offers a widely-requested closed-captions feature and improved Netflix support.

You can download Google Fiber for free on any iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad with iOS 6.0 installed. Remember to have a Fiber TV subscription to get up and running with the service.
