Google’s amazing Helpouts service that lets you reach out to experts over a video feed and let them tutor you on anything has been released as a free iOS application with the same great features as the original web-based service.

According to the search giant, “Helpouts connects you to expert help over live video. This app gives you access to all of the FREE Helpouts available on the platform. Download the app today to get help across a wide range of topics—anytime, anywhere.”

You can get expert advice on anything from cooking and carpentry to best yoga practices and music tutorials. Helpouts lets you find as well as schedule a session, start / give a free Helpout, read reviews and listing details, send messages, report abuse, leave a review, tweak settings, and even receive text-message and mobile reminders.

The free iOS app supports various different languages, including English, Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

To download Helpouts, all you need is iOS 6.0 and a compatible iDevice, starting with iPhone 4, iPad second generation, and iPod touch fourth generation. Unfortunately Google has failed to produce a universal app, meaning iPads are not natively supported in full-screen.
