Even though Mailbox is the work of a company called Orchestra Inc. (and iTunes still lists them as the seller), the service has been purchased by Dropbox Inc., the well-known cloud company.

The people at Dropbox like to reward their users by giving them extra storage for performing various types of gimmicks, such as setting an auto-upload function for photos, or by referring others to the service.

You get a standard 2GB of storage when you sign up, but after you do some of the things described here, you can easily expand that storage to 5GB, or even 10.

Thanks to the emergence of Mailbox, you can now add another extra gigabyte by simply linking the two services together.

Simply download Mailbox, log in with your Gmail account, then log into Dropbox, then go back to Mailbox, navigate to the Settings menu and activate the Dropbox integration. Boom! You’re awarded 1GB of extra storage on the spot.
