Apple has released a Support article acknowledging an issue with GarageBand for iOS using Audiobus. The company has a simple resolution for affected customers.

In a recent GarageBand update, Apple has added the ability to play and record music applications supported by Audiobus directly into GarageBand.

In a KB article published just minutes ago, the Cupertino giant acknowledges that, “When using GarageBand for iOS 1.4 or later with Audiobus, you might hear pops, clicks, or audio dropouts.”

Apple says such issues can trickle in when using “processor-intensive applications with a buffer size of 256 frames.” Apple’s resolution is simple. Just switch to 512 frames in Audiobus.

The company says this “should” resolve the issue, but that doesn’t mean it’s 100% guaranteed that it will. The fix applies to GarageBand for iPad, and GarageBand for iPhone and iPod touch.
