FISHLABS’ awesome sci-fi title Galaxy on Fire 2 is now free to own on iOS devices for a limited time. The HD version is particularly noteworthy, as it arrives with console-grade graphics and equally compelling gameplay.
Galaxy on Fire 2 is said to set the benchmark for sci-fi gaming on the App Store. Owners of a new-generation device, such as an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 2 or a Retina iPad, are encouraged to grab “the graphically overhauled HD version of the game,” says FISHLABS.
Careful, though. You’ll want to be on a Wi-Fi connection when you hit Install on this 600MB space-shooting experience. Older devices work best with the regular version of GOF2, the developers add.
Last updated this past December, GOF2 1.2.0 removed some features due to the OpenFeint shutdown. Users who still have OpenFeint save games are urged to move their progress to iCloud before installing the update.
