A fully functional Apple 1 Computer (likely crafted by Steve Wozniak himself) has made the “Auction of Firsts,” where it hopes to fetch almost half a million dollars.
One of the rarest collector’s items in the tech world, the Apple 1 is a flagship product created by the two Steves who dropped out of college to start Apple Computer Inc.
“On 25 May 2013 collectors and Apple-aficionados will have the chance to buy another of the 6 surviving Apple I computers still in working order,” reads the announcement.
The price estimate is 200.000 - 300.000 Euro / US$ 260,000 - 400,000.
The auction will be featuring numerous other firsts, such as the Altair 8800 and another one of Apple’s inventions, the Lisa-1, which was the world's first mouse-controlled computer.
