Sticker-crazed people can now decorate their photos

Not everyone likes grunge filters and gritty effects that make ordinary photos look like cut scenes from horror movies. Some people just prefer color in their lives. As much as they can get.

Facebook is no stranger to those people, apparently. The social network today unleashed yet another iPhone app, this time focusing on photography and stickers. So far, stickers have mostly been used in text messaging. Starting now, Facebook wants users to employ these fun assets in their pictures as well.

Stickered for Messenger lets you position a cute sticker on the canvas even before you shoot, allowing you to preview the results. You can also apply the stickers afterwards, and even summon old photos from the camera roll to edit them.

For those images where the sticker seems to small or too big for the background action, you can drag, pinch, stretch, and rotate the add-on “to make the perfect scene,” according to Facebook. Finally, and probably most importantly for most users, the app offers a quick and easy way to send the edited pics with Messenger.

Speaking of which, Messenger is getting a fresh update this week with updated receipts for sent, received, and read messages, among other things. Download Stickered for Messenger on any iOS 8 device and enjoy!
