Wayne Goodrich said he was fired in December for “business reasons”

Former Executive Producer of Apple Keynote presentations, Wayne Goodrich, is suing the Cupertino, CA technology giant over being terminated in December last year, claiming he had been told by Steve Jobs himself that he would have “job security” at Apple.

Goodrich started working at Apple in 1998. He was the executive producer of Apple's public presentations and worked with the late visionary genius Steve Jobs to prepare the company’s iconic events and develop presentations. Goodrich is also partially responsible for bringing Siri to iOS.

At a one-on-one meeting in May 2005, Jobs reportedly told him he would always have a job at Apple.

"This express promise by Steve Jobs was consistent with a practice that Steve Jobs had, acting on behalf of defendant Apple, of promising job security to certain key employees who worked directly with him for many years," Goodrich said in the complaint.
