Seventh OS X 10.9 developer preview includes new wallpapers

Apple this week released OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 7 and, while the changes listed in the seed notes aren’t major, one area of the OS has seen a pretty spectacular addition.

The Wallpapers folder which used to house only a single image (namely the Mavericks background used for marketing purposes at WWDC and beyond) now packs eight new luscious images, including a Mountain Range, Rolling Waves, an abstract picture that looks like some sort of radioactive goo, a Foggy Forest, and more.

Shared by a guy identified as Soothe on Reddit, the full-size wallpapers have all been updated to “Retina Thunderbolt Display resolution” (5120x2880), according to their “leaker.” In other words, expect new hardware too. But I’m guessing Apple will deliver a Retina iMac first.

I’m finding the Foxtail Barley wallpaper particularly interesting, as it sports a soothing color palette. Which one do you like best?
