Electronic Arts today greets Real Racing fans with a fresh update that makes improvements to the real-time multiplayer component, Game Center, ratings, and new cars for those of you who haven’t updated in a while.

Electronic Arts says, “The Real Racing 3 team is committed to giving you the best experience ever. We’ve made some improvements in this update to address the following issues.”

One of the key issues addressed is, of course, the game’s real-time multiplayer component. Version 2.0.3 implements what is called “Ghosting” behavior when players race with high latency. Ghosted players will appear translucent, according to EA.

Crew usage has been enabled, a Daily Race Bonus can now be collected, Game Center names now persist into the race, leaderboards and pictures are now correctly matched to players, and ratings now increase and decrease as they should.

New cars are available for those of you who forgot to check the updates tab in the past few weeks. You’ll be happy to learn that the Lamborghini Veneno and McLaren P1 are joining the roster. Download Real Racing 3 on any iOS 5 device.
