Apple has released a new version of iTunes for Mac and Windows, adding support for OS X Mavericks as well as other improvements and fixes.

Per Apple’s documentation, iTunes 11.1.2 is a maintenance update which adds compatibility with OS X Mavericks, the company’s tenth major Mac OS release. Launched to the public yesterday, Mavericks is a free download from the Mac App Store.

The new iTunes also includes support for Arabic and Hebrew, and improves performance and stability, according to the release notes.

The Mac and PC versions are available, but it isn’t clear what the Windows update brings, as the changelog for iTunes 11.1.2 for Windows isn’t yet available. In all likelihood, the PC version only includes the language updates, along with those stability and performance tweaks.
