A reminder to all developers who may have postponed the update

Registered Apple developers who may have postponed the jump to iOS 7 Beta 6 this week are encouraged to do so ahead of the company’s scheduled downtime.

In a brief memo sent out to developers, Apple reveals that starting today at 6pm PDT the Dev Center and all “developer program services” will be unavailable.

Apple not only doesn’t apologize for the sudden decision to take the Dev Center offline (even though it usually does), but the company also forgets to mention when the dev services are expected to become active again.

As such, I encourage any developers who may have put off the installation of new iOS / OS X betas to hurry up and grab the goods before they become unavailable.

Apple this week only seeded a new iOS 7 beta, leaving OS X Mavericks one beta-increment behind. The latest betas available for development and testing purposes are iOS 7 Beta 6, OS X Mavericks Beta 5, and Xcode 5 Developer Preview 5.
