Akhil Tolani sells this cool iMusic app for iOS which offers advanced control over your songs and artists, including song queuing, carousel browsing, shake gesture controls, and song lyrics.

Best of all, a fresh update has been released this week.

Tolani says his app is “the perfect music player,” as it offers tremendous control over your music. This includes the aforementioned benefits, plus the ability to share what you’re listening to on Facebook, Twitter, email, and SMS, a cool animated GUI, detailed information about each song, and more.

“You’ll never want to use the default music app again,” says the developer.

iMusic 2.3 was just released this week. It adds a new About screen and a new Sharing menu, as well as a full-screen lyrics mode, a two-finger rotate gesture, improved carousel-style browsing, a revamped progress bar, quick scroll in the list selection style, and the ability to place your iDevice screen-down to pause music.

Pretty neat stuff, on top of what iMusic already offers.

Oh, by the way, if this app somehow gets pulled or renamed by the time WWDC kicks off next week, it’ll be a pretty clear sign that Apple’s planned music-streaming service won’t be called iRadio. Just a thought.
