Hamrick Software has released an updated version of its scanning utility for Mac, Windows and Linux computers, addressing a problem with file saving.
The developer doesn't waste time detailing the specifics of the bug plaguing VueScan 9 (i.e. in what circumstances it is triggered), stating only that version 9.4.07 “fixes a problem when saving files.”
The bug seemingly affects all installments of VueScan, including the Mac, Windows and Linux version. The update supersedes VueScan 9.4.05, an update released just a few days back.
For those who are updating from an older version, this new release also addresses a problem creating RAW scan files, an issue with changing rotation and mirror for different frames, and a bug affecting Epson WorkForce 845 document feeder centering. Another tweaked area is auto calibration at start of scan.
