Twitter client Tweetbot has been updated to version 2.7 to include the ability to open links in Chrome and 1Password. This and several other enhancements can be found in the latest version of Tapbots’ Twitter client for iOS devices.

Arguably one of the most popular apps of its kind, Tweetbot for Twitter (iPhone & iPod touch) 2.7 can now open links in Chrome and 1Password, and features inline image support for Flickr and Vine, the new service for creating short, looping videos to share with the world.

Tweetbot further adds better support for muting Tweets with URLs, various bug fixes and, “still no jokes in the release notes,” which can count as the first official joke in the changelog. A subsequent 2.7.1 update was pushed out earlier this morning to patch a crashing bug.

Tweetbot is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
