Great news for iOS customers relying on The Weather Channel to decide whether or not to wear a coat before leaving for work. The company’s iPhone app has received some enhancements for local weather forecasts.

The Weather Channel Interactive this week rolled out a fresh update for iOS customers, delivering support for the all-new iOS 7 from Apple, but also some enhancements for the functionality of the app.

According to the developers, The Weather Channel 5.5.0 actually provides a “better local forecast.” It likely has to do with the way information is displayed, not with the accuracy of the forecast (which doesn’t sit on your iPhone, but rather on a faraway server somewhere).

Some bug fixes are also incorporated in this update, so if you think something needs fixing, this update will probably be just what you need.
