Microids has announced the release of Syberia in the Mac App Store. The adventure game comes with “a gripping script that goes beyond your imagination,” according to its creators.

Described as “an exciting and long adventure with varied high quality graphics,” Syberia is localized in various languages, meaning it also includes the integral dubbing of characters in English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German, and can be enjoyed by everyone.

An original adventure title with puzzles and an intriguing storyline, the game follows Kate Walker, a young and ambitious lawyer from New York.

Kate is handed what seems to be a fairly straightforward assignment at first glance, but “her voyage across land and time throws all she values into question, while the deal she sets out to sign turns into a pact with destiny.”

On her journey, Kate meets rich and intriguing characters in scenes with film-like camera angles, movements, and framing, making for a unique atmosphere.

To download Syberia on your Mac, you will need a minimum of 2GB of storage space (and a bit more to actually have the game installed). Microids doesn’t list other requirements and actually claims that the game is supported even on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) computers.
