14 DAY TRIAL // Skype Communications S.a.r.l is out with a new version of Skype for iPad which includes some bug fixes, new features, and the cool ability to swipe from the left of the screen to open your recent conversations.
Skype version 4.5 automatically reconnects a dropped call when your wireless connection is poor. You can now add money to your Skype account directly from the app. This enables you to send SMSes and place calls uninterrupted. The feature is currently live in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Sweden and Estonia.
You can now perform a swipe from the left of the screen to open recent conversations in a new sidebar, and there are some “general fixes” in this release as well. For example, one-to-one chats will now appear in the correct order, according to the release notes.
