Skype has been updated for both Mac and Windows and, not surprisingly, there’s no changelog in sight. That’s ok though. The binary is what’s important.

Mac and Windows users alike can immediately download the latest Skype build for their respective OSes. On the Mac, the new version is designated as 6.1.59.2295.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a changelog to accompany this post, but we do have the binary ready for download. Head over to the link below and grab the new Skype 6.1.59.2295 for OS X Lion and Mountain Lion now.

In the latest update, the developers maintaining Skype have been able to address a crash which occurred if a user ran the app on a Retina display with an external monitor attached under OS X Mountain Lion. The newest version undoubtedly brings a new army of bug fixes, but we cannot confirm any specific changes as of yet.
