Skype 4.1 is now out for iPhone and iPad users with a bunch of fixes for audio and video calling issues reported by users. The patch specifically targets iPhone 5 users, as well as everyone who upgraded to iOS 6.

Beom Soo Park, beta program manager for the Skype for Mac client, reveals that Skype 4.1 for iPhone and iPad fixes audio and video calling issues reported by users on iPhone 5 devices and iOS 6.

The company thanks everyone who submitted bug reports, adding that “all your valuable feedback which has enabled us to address the issues quickly.”

The visible enhancements in Skype iOS will be a fix for a UI freezing issue when placing audio and video call in iPhone 5, and a patch for intermittent audio and video calling issues on iOS 6, according to Park.

“We recommend that everyone upgrade to the newly released Skype for iPhone and Skype for iPad applications from the Apple App Store,” says Skype’s beta program manager.
