Second Life 3.6.7 Build 281561 is out for Mac and Windows, featuring an update to Google Breakpad and a restructured crash reporting tool for out-of-process crashes, among other things.

Available for Mac, Windows, and Linux, “This release contains an update to Google Breakpad and restructures the crash reporting mechanism to support out of process crash reporting,” according to Linden Lab. The update also implements Google Breakpad as an out process.

Windows and Linux gamers have nothing new in particular to gain from this update, but all supported clients (including the OS X version) still require some fixing.

A truckload of known issues are mentioned in the release notes, including a crash on Ubuntu 11.10 with GeForce 6600 when setting 16x antialiasing, inconsistent WL Haze effects, an issue where “maximizing the viewer leaves garbage on the screen [for Mac users],” and more.
