Developer Black Block has dropped the price on its PDF Reader app to zero, in order to amass more downloads and to raise awareness about his useful software.

PDF Reader does exactly what its name implies – lets you load and read your favorite books and important documents on your iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

It’s got a whopping 30X digital zoom, it supports portrait and landscape modes, has the ability to view document properties, and even has a function to withdraw text from the document pages.

Much like Apple’s iBooks, PDF Reader lets you search through documents, offers the ability to create bookmarks, and even boasts an auto-read function.

You can use it to create your own PDFs, load documents through the Wi-Fi network to and from your computer, and exchange documents between two devices.

The app is now free to download on any iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.0 or later.
