Google has outed Gmail 2.4.2, a release for people using the standalone email app on their iPhones and iPads. This is a bug-fix release which also incorporates the enhancements from Gmail 2.4.

Gmail version 2.4.2 aims to address various bugs reported by iPhone and iPad owners using the app, such as crashes and keyboard issues.

The new release also includes support for larger image thumbnails, which open up into full screen. Users who haven’t updated in a while will also notice better integration with Google apps, with the search giant explaining that “Google Drive and Google+ links go directly to the app, if installed.”

Gmail requires iOS 6 to run and has yet to receive an iOS 7-compatibility update.
