New version delivers “moved sending status bar, bug fixes”

Google is beefing up its Gmail iPhone app with new functionality and bug fixes to offer its millions of users a more reliable email experience on the go.

Gmail version 2.0.1 includes “moved sending status bar” and “bug fixes,” according to the terse changelog provided by the Mountain View search giant. No other details are offered.

The release notes mention the new additions in Gmail 2.0 for users who haven’t updated in a while.

Gmail on iOS now supports multiple accounts, search predictions as you type, infinite scrolling, the ability to respond to Google Calendar invites inline, interactive Google+ posts, a new interface, and more.

Gmail 2.0.1 works with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. It requires iOS 5.0 or later.
