14 DAY TRIAL // The people at Fringland Ltd. are out with a new version of the free calling / texting app, Fring, for iOS devices. Now at version 6.2, Fring sports a brand spanking new timeline user interface.
In addition to the new timeline UI, Fring iOS 6.2 contains some much needed bug fixes that should improve the app’s behavior on old-generation devices, such as the third-gen iPod touch, or the first iPad model.
Fring enables you to make free calls to other Fring subscribers. You can even make video calls, much like with Apple’s own FaceTime. In fact, Fring is even better from one point of view. Unlike Apple’s FaceTime, Fring has been working on both Wi-Fi and 3G for quite some time now.
Fring iOS 6.2 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
