Foursquare has released version 6.1 of its social networking application, which includes top sights and attractions for new locations visited by the user, approvals by local check-ins, and some fixes to make the app behave.

Foursquare iOS users can now instantly see the best of what’s nearby, as well as search front-and-center across the app. But this is old news for people who updated to version 6.0 earlier this month.

In version 6.1, some much deserved improvements have been made to address some errors.

“We made some bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements. Download the update, search for ‘milkshake’ or ‘park,’ and enjoy your day!” reads the changelog.

Foursquare requires iOS 5.0 and supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and iPad. The app displays natively on all device models.
