Apple has released a new version of its video production software, Final Cut Pro X 10.0.9, a minor update which addresses a number of bugs.

Officially released in 2011 and updated with incremental software updates (patches) ever since, Final Cut Pro X is Apple’s professional video production suite for Mac OS X.

A new version is available to the general population as of today, adding a number of code corrections aimed to improve the stability of the software.

Final Cut Pro X 10.0.9 patches bugs that cause green artifacts to appear on screen when using Sony XAVC media, and fixes several issues related to interlaced media and retimed segments, which caused exports to fail for some users.

Several unnamed “stability improvements” are also incorporated in this release.

Final Cut Pro X 10.0.9 requires OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and is available as a free download to existing users.
