Apple has released Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7 with fixes and enhancements for professionals using the $299.99 / €269.99 video editing software for Macs.

An update tasked with improving overall stability, performance and compatibility, Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7 restores the Letterbox effect “Offset” slider and adds support for editing MXF files that are still ingesting.

A handful of fixes is implemented, including a patch for issues when creating a single layer DVD, one for third-party effects causing FCP to hang during background rendering, another where some third-party transitions would incorrectly use black instead of source media, and one more for rendering Motion Templates containing Image Units.

Apple is yet to update Support document HT4589 to include the full-length changelog for Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7. In the meantime, customers running OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) or later are welcome to download the new version at the link below.
