Users of the Facebook Pages Manager app on iPhone and iPad will be greeted by an update notification today, as Facebook Inc. wants everyone to “promote recent posts to reach a bigger audience.”
Well, actually they want you to enjoy a new experience, but they don’t mind the extra hits either, we presume.
You can now schedule a post to appear later, display stories in two columns on iPad, and “promote recent posts to reach a bigger audience,” according to the release notes.
Users are asked to note that they need to have created an ad, or at least to have previously promoted a post on their Mac or PC, before using this feature on Pages Manager for iPhone and iPad.
Rounding up the changelog is the usual bag of bug fixes and performance updates.
Facebook Pages Manager is a universal app and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It requires iOS 4.2 or later.
