The evad3rs have released a new version of their untethered jailbreak tool, evasi0n 1.5.1, which includes an updated Cydia package list.

Available as a free download from the evad3rs (as well as from Softpedia at the link below), evasi0n 1.5.1 is the seventh official release of the jailbreak software, or the sixth update, whichever you prefer.

As with the update before it, evasi0n 1.5.1 simply updates the included Cydia package list for users who want to download unauthorized software on their iPhones and iPads.

Users on both Mac and Windows can jailbreak their iDevice with evasi0n, and the same goes for people running Linux on their computers. The jailbreak tool is free of charge and requires Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.6 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64).

Evasi0n supports iPhones, iPads and iPod touch players running iOS 6.0 through 6.1.2. The upcoming iOS 6.1.3 (currently in closed beta at Apple) is not supported as of yet, and it is believed to patch the exploits used by evasi0n. In layman terms, it’s supposed to cancel your jailbreak.
