MoboTap Inc. have released Dolphin Browser 6.5.1 for iPad, an update for their free application for surfing the web on Apple tablets.

An alternative to Apple’s own Safari, Dolphin offers tabbed browsing, device synchronization via Dolphin Connect, one-tap-sharing, sidebars, and a full screen mode for people consuming video on the web.

Dolphin Browser for iPad 6.5.1 is a maintenance release which addresses small bugs, including an Evernote clip crash plaguing numerous users.

Other issues are likely still present in the browser, as evidenced by the “reviews” on iTunes, but the Evernote thing seems to be the most widely-spread complaint, so no wonder MoboTap made it a priority.

Dolphin for iPad is one of the few remaining apps which still only require iOS 4.3, which means every iPad model ever sold by Apple is compatible with the software.
