BBC announced that, following your feedback, the company’s news app has been updated to improve response times, as well as to display stories faster.

The British Broadcast Company has made enhancements to the layout of BBC News for iOS. Users will notice a new portrait view on the iPad which allows viewing more stories on a single page.

An edit button has been integrated so you can add, remove or re-order categories based on your taste, and the iPhone home screen includes larger images with stories now.

A pull-to-refresh gesture has been added to the home screen, and you’ll be able to share content much faster with Facebook and Twitter thanks to some minor enhancements in the social networking department.

The integration with Apple’s VoiceOver assistive tool has also been improved, for users with impaired vision.

“We’ve also fixed the bugs which meant you sometimes saw two duplicate stories next to each other and an issue which caused the app to get stuck when updating,” BBC Worldwide notes.
