14 DAY TRIAL // Users of the official BBC News app who are experiencing issues should consider downloading the latest update, according to BBC Worldwide.
BBC News 2.0.1 for iOS fixes an issue where videos play by accident if you swipe on them, and includes a fix to make the video player ignore the mute switch.
The app now refreshes when it returns from the background, and you can scroll to the top of a story by tapping on the clock. The carousels have been reset to the start on app refresh, and audio now continues to play in the background, even when your iDevice falls asleep.
BBC News is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and iPad, and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
