14 DAY TRIAL // Amazon Instant Video 2.1.1 is out for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad users with new abilities and bug fixes.
Allowing subscribers to get unlimited streaming of more than 40,000 movies and TV episodes, Amazon Instant Video requires an Internet connection (cellular isn’t supported on iPads for some reason), and it allows you to watch your downloaded videos offline.
Version 2.1.1 lets you multitask with other apps during AirPlay streaming (with iOS 6+ and Mirroring disabled), improves iOS 7 compatibility, and includes minor bug fixes.
Amazon says the free app is “designed for an unmodified version of iOS,” which means you can’t employ it on a jailbroken device. Not that anyone cares about jailbreaks anymore these days.
Amazon Instant Video requires iOS 5.0 or later and supports almost all iDevice models.
