Adobe is out with a new version of its Photoshop Express software for iPhone wielding enthusiasts with an urge for retouching photos on the go.

If you’re using one of the newer iPhone 5 handsets or a fifth-generation iPod touch, Adobe has some exciting news to share. They’ve rewritten Photoshop Express to take advantage of all the pixels crammed in those 4-inch Retina displays.

The photo editing app also adds full support for iOS 6, according to the release notes, but Adobe fails to specify what those optimizations are.

For those who haven’t updated Photoshop Express in a while, you’ll also be getting easy face tagging while sharing photos on Facebook, updated sharing screens, red-eye fixing, numerical values for adjustment sliders, an animated Help section, and in-app notifications.
