Improved support for Ableton Push, updated browser, Live 8 import option

Ableton has rolled out a major new version of its professional music-making software for Macs, Ableton Live 9. An incremental update (9.0.1) delivers new improvements and tweaks, as well as bug fixes.

Live 9.0.1 is out today with improved support for Ableton Push, improved Browser usability and performance, and the ability to import Live 8 libraries. Support for legacy 3rd party content packs is also included.

The transport bar and per-track Back to Arrangement buttons have been tweaked as well, and several lessons and info texts have been updated and translated. Lastly, some bugs and crashes have been addressed, according to Ableton.

Requirements include Mac OS X 10.5 or later, a multicore processor, 2 GB RAM, a 1024x768 display, 3GB free disk space and a broadband Internet connection for some features.
