Apple’s servers are constantly acting up, causing frustration with developers

As Apple continues to struggle to repair the damage left in the wake of its widely reported server breach last month, I take it upon myself to advise eager iOS 7 testers to hold off any new installations, at least for today.

Earlier today I’ve heard some mumble about Apple’s Dev Center services going online and offline sporadically. I didn’t think much of it, as it can be considered normal behavior amid the ongoing Dev Center maintenance, but I did cover the subject.

Now that I’ve had first-hand experience with these issues, I’d like to warn any developer looking to install a fresh iOS 7 beta today that there’s a good chance the activation won’t go through.

I’ve wasted the better part of this day trying to get past error screens and closed (server) doors. I don’t know how OTA updates are going (probably well, considering there are no reports on the issue), but trying to make a fresh iOS 7 Beta 5 install is certainly an ordeal today.
