DisplayLink has published a knowledge base article which details numerous issues with DisplayLink monitors under the new OS X 10.9 aka Mavericks.

According to the support document, some applications will show flickering on DisplayLink screens after the upgrade to Mavericks. These include Safari, QuickTime, and the App store.

Other apps and services will show corruption and/or missing contents, such as Maps, iBooks, and the Dock.

When using 2 or more DisplayLink monitors, display arrangement is not kept. So much for Apple’s multi-display bragging.

Screens may sometimes go black and become unusable after unplugging. “This is caused by Apple's Window server crashing. This can be recovered by replugging the DisplayLink device,” says DisplayLink.

Changing the layout to mirror logs the user out on Retina-enabled MacBook pros. This issue is also triggered by Apple's Window server crashing.

DisplayLink says it is working to address some of the bugs, while other issues will need to be fixed by Apple.
