App connects to your phone via Bluetooth, no headset required

Emiel Janson is selling this cool Mac app which connects wirelessly to your iPhone and lets you place and receive calls with your Mac, without even touching the handset.

To download Dialogue for Mac, you’ll have to pay $6.99 / €5.99 but, before you huff and puff at the price, listen to what this baby can do.

You get to answer calls and keep working, you can actually decline to answer a call (something iOS 7 strangely forbids us to do), you can search for a contact and call that person faster than you can say John Appleseed, and you can record the call and listen to the conversation again, whenever you please.

Best of all, you don’t have to use a headset (thanks to a tweak delivered in a recent software update). If you’re alone in the house with no one to be bothered by the loud conversation, this tool is ideal for people who are stuck to their computer day and night to put bread on the table.

Do note, however, that if you’re on Mavericks, the record function is currently unavailable due to a bug. Janson promises to hunt it down quickly but, in the meantime, don’t rely on this feature if you’re on OS X 10.9.
