Apple hires BNBT to carry out the constructions

As you may have already heard, Apple is building a massive new campus on the land of former tenant HP in Cupertino, California. It will house an estimated 12,000 – 15,000 employees, it will have state-of-the-art facilities, parking and powering through renewable energy, and it will also have a very expensive auditorium to carry out the keynotes in.

According to building permits dug up by the industrious buildzoom.com, “The world’s most valuable company will spend $160,999,985.00 [€131 million] to construct a ‘theatre’ at its new headquarters in Cupertino.” Apple hired BNBT Builders, Inc. to erect the building, adjacent to the mother-ship.

The “theatre” in question is, of course, the future Apple auditorium where Tim Cook and his buds will be presenting the latest and greatest iThings. Apple has long preferred in-house keynote addresses, and while it doesn’t seem like this theatre will be suitable for WWDC, it will be just perfect for announcing the iPhone 9 in 2017.

And if you’re gasping for air just reading the aforementioned sum of cash, keep in mind that it’s pocket change for the Mac maker. In fact, Apple will probably get a return on its investment in the quarter following the first keynote held in that auditorium. No joke.
