Canon U.S.A. has confirmed AirPrint support in its brand new PIXMA MX892 Wireless Office All-In-One inkjet printer, allowing users of an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to print wirelessly, right from their portable device.

AirPrint is a wireless printing standard introduced by Apple in iOS 4. It allows users to wirelessly print photos, email, web pages and documents without additional software, such as drivers.

Canon today confirmed that all PIXMA Wireless All-In-One inkjet printers launched from this point forward would be AirPrint-compatible. The function works with all iDevice models that support iOS 4.2 or newer versions of Apple’s mobile operating system.
