The highly anticipated, alternate-history shooter BioShock Infinite is out on the Mac App Store with a $39.99 / €35.99 price tag which includes the full game and the Columbia's Finest DLC.

Developed by Irrational Games and published on the Mac by none other than Aspyr Media, BioShock Infinite takes place in 1912 and introduces “an entirely new narrative experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky,” according to the game’s creators.

Minimum system requirements include OS X 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion); an Intel Core 2 Duo (Dual-Core) processor clocked at 2.2. GHz; 4GB of RAM; and 512MB of video RAM.

The game’s Mac App Store page offers additional details involving the accepted specs, including the supported video cards. You’ll want to review those specifications carefully before you pluck out your $39.99 / €35.99, as you don’t want to end up with a game that doesn’t run on your Mac.

The purchase price includes the Columbia's Finest downloadable content (DLC).
