“There's nothing more embarrassing than a flaccid phone”

Comedian Conan O'Brien couldn’t resist jumping on the #Bendgate bandwagon. But unlike others, he’s doing it less for the sensationalism and more for the actual humor behind the fiasco.

iPhone 6 Plus is said to be a tad too soft for its own size, and there are people out there who went and deliberately destroyed some handsets to prove it. Apple, however, says the situation is overblown and that there are actually only 9 recorded cases of accidental bending in the whole world.

Despite keeping its head high, the Cupertino giant agreed to look into the matter and replace any phone that may have been warped by “natural” causes.

In the meantime, the Internet is having a party at the expense of Apple’s plummeting stock prices caused by the #Bendgate hype coupled with a few software problems in a recent update. The company just can’t seem to catch a break.

Now O’Brien is having his say. He (and his team of video editors) put together this hilarious parody ad where the voiceover says, “There's nothing more embarrassing than a flaccid phone,” with a male actor pulling out a visibly bent smartphone to the dismay of his turned-off female partner.

The ad then suggests that anyone in this guy’s position should visit their carrier to get one of Samsung’s Galaxy phones, which are “rigid and stiff when you buy them.” Hilarious stuff!
