Overhaul Games has confirmed a Summer 2012 release date for Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition on the Mac.

Running on an upgraded and improved version of the Infinity Engine, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition for Mac will include “the entire Baldur’s Gate adventure, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and never before seen content including a new adventure and a new party member,” said Overhaul Games.

The Enhanced Edition for Mac will boast some platform-specific features, such as widescreen support and integration with iCloud. Overhaul said the game would be available in the Mac App Store this summer. Pricing and system requirements are yet to be announced.
