Surveyed citizens said the new iPhone looks like the most awesome version yet

It doesn’t get any funnier than this folks. Americans taking a survey about the debt-ceiling crisis responded to various finance-centric questions with praise about the iPhone 5s.

Launched this past weekend, the poll reportedly asked about “the prospect of a debt-ceiling logjam leading to a downgrade of the U.S. economy.” According to The New Yorker, “seventy-two per cent of those surveyed said that the new iPhone looks like the most awesome iPhone yet.”

Responding to another question about the huge debt deficit incurred by the United States of America over the past years, “sixty-five per cent agreed with the statement, ‘I can’t believe I waited on line all Friday for the 5s and they told me they’re sold out until October.’”

Finally, faced with a question regarding their concerns on a new financial meltdown, Americans were undecided about which color looked best on the new iPhone, “but agreed that all of them looked amazing,” according to the NY magazine.

Sadly, I couldn’t find any disclaimer saying this whole thing was a joke or anything like that.
