OS X Mavericks has exited beta and is on its way to the Mac App Store this month. Apple has discovered an incompatibility with iPhoto, prompting the Mac maker to update the photography app as well.

Alongside OS X Mavericks GM, iPhoto 9.4.7 was also seeded to developers this week.

According to the release notes offered by Apple, iPhoto 9.4.7 “addresses an issue that could cause iPhoto to quit unexpectedly on launch when running OS X Mavericks GM Seed.”

With the debut of Mavericks later this month, Apple is likely to release new versions of all its iLife apps (iMovie, GarageBand, iPhoto), as well as new versions of all iWork apps (Pages, Keynote, and Numbers).

Rumor has it that Apple will deploy its next-generation Mac OS in the last ten days of October.
