14 DAY TRIAL // Jefferies analyst Peter Misek issued a note to investors this morning letting everyone know that Apple is making a TV set.
One of the bullet points of his research note reads: “Evidence of commercial iTV production is starting.”
After visiting Asia and talking to some part suppliers, Misek wrote “we believe specialty components have begun to ship to Apple's Asia panel suppliers with polarized films, filters, and IGZO components starting to move in small quantities.”
Misek says he and his fellow analysts “expect commercial production in May/ June with 2M to 5M builds likely.” The finalized product is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2012, he said.
