Two-day Winter Doorbuster Days sale slashes hundreds off low-end MBA

Apple’s entry-level MacBook Air, which normally sells for $999 (€741) on the Cupertino giant’s online store, is now $200/€148 cheaper at Best Buy. The American retailer is running a Winter deal for just two days.

The 11-inch MacBook Air configuration on offer at Best Buy comes with OS X Mountain Lion pre-insalled, and sports 4GB of RAM, 64GB of flash storage, and Intel’s Core i5 processor running at 1.7 Ghz.

The system sells for $799.99, or around 600 EUR, but the deal is valid for just two days, and today is the last day, so hurry up if you want the discount.

Apple is not expected to refresh the MacBook Air line any time soon, so this is still one of the best MBAs money can buy. Of course, with just 11.6 inches of screen real estate, the computer is mainly geared towards portability, not work (as much).
