Only an authorized Apple service can replace it

Apple unveiled some details about the Apple Watch during the “Spring Forward” event that took place on March 9 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, USA, including the pre-order date, pricing, customization options, and general availability.

We’ve recently learned that Apple Watch is not waterproof, but only splash and water resistant, which means that you will be able to wear the watch when you shower or wash your hands, but you cannot use it while swimming or diving.

Today we learn about Apple Watch’s replaceable battery, as an Apple spokesman has confirmed for TechCrunch that the battery is replaceable, but only if you send it to Apple for replacement. However, the battery’s life-cycle is around three years, so you shouldn’t be so worried.

Well, this is not such great news for you after all, as some might have believed that it will be possible to have a spare battery with them and replace it themselves when needed. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Apple Watch.

You can find more details about Apple Watch on its website, where you will also be able to pre-order the smartwatch starting April 10. Apple will begin shipping the devices starting April 24, 2015.
